What You Will Do

Prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD and BIM software.

Interpret structural engineering sketches, notes, and specifications into comprehensive construction documents.

Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and design intent.

Modify existing drawings as required, incorporating engineering changes and field revisions.

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning bylaws, and Manitoba or National specific construction standards.

Maintain drawing and document control procedures and file management systems.

Keep up-to-date with new drafting technologies, building materials, and Manitoba construction regulations.

Any other duties as assigned by the general manager.

What You Will Need

Diploma in Engineering Technology required;

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building design

Strong understanding of Manitoba and National Building Codes

Proficiency in 3D modelling software (e.g., Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, Sketch Up) required; willingness to learn and adopt new modelling tools is essential

Experience working with Hutterite colonies considered an asset

Project management experience considered an asset

Strong communication and leadership skills

Note:

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in precast concrete.
