Experienced Production Geologist

Position: Experienced Production Geologist Role
Location: Northeastern Alberta (Fort Chipewyan)

Join Canadian Natural as an experienced Production Geologist in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Support innovative mining operations through effective geological modeling and real-time assessments.

As a key member of the Horizon Production Geology team, your responsibility will be to monitor ore delivery and improve geological interpretations. Apply your strong technical skills to validate the geological model and ensure compliance throughout daily operations, while enhancing workflows and data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily ore-grade validation and material qualities

• Conduct real-time field assessments during mining

• Align mining strategies with geological insights

• Facilitate communication with mine and engineering teams

• Foster continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Degree in Geology from an accredited institution

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in geology, open-pit experience desirable

• Eligible for APEGA registration as P.Geo.

• Skilled in MS 365 and familiar with Power BI

• Clean class 5 Drivers' License required
