WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain.

Plan and execute environmental studies, including fish, aquatic, wildlife, and habitat assessments.

Conduct fieldwork in various settings, including remote locations, and operate specialized monitoring equipment.

Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation.

Support project management and maintain direct communication with clients throughout project lifecycle.

Provide expertise in fish and fish habitat science.

Provide strategic support and advise clients to help them achieve their project goals in balance with protecting the environment.

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

Advanced degree in biology, aquatic science, or related field.

R.P.Bio. or eligible.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, within the environmental sector.

Strong fish and fish habitat background, related to infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with YESAA and Fisheries Act project submissions and review processes.

Proven experience completing Fisheries Act Authorization applications and designing habitat offsetting plans.

Experience in vegetation surveys and assessments (in particular wetlands) would be a strong asset.

Excellent track record for strong client relations.

Effective analytical, technical editing, and review skills, with the ability to manage data, projects and ensure the delivery of high-quality reports and proposals.

Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, excellence, and ethics.

Proficient in using field equipment (e.g., flow meters, water quality instruments, fisheries tools), with experience in aquatic monitoring; CABIN certification, bird s /nest sweep skills are considered assets.

Willing and able to work safely in remote locations for extended field trips.

Valid Canadian driver’s license; with clean driving record.
