At the Timmins Native Friendship Centre, you will play a vital role in the Apatisiwin program, which focuses on empowering urban Indigenous peoples. This position requires skills in critical thinking, relationship‑building, and personal accountability. You will assess users needs and develop tailored action plans to tackle employment barriers, ensuring effective support.

Key Responsibilities   Conduct career preparation and guidance workshops
Build partnerships with local educational institutions
Guide users towards job and educational placements
Offer ongoing job support and retention assistance
Requirements   Degree in Indigenous studies, social work, or related field
At least three years experience in social services or mental health
Familiarity with Indigenous history and healing strategies
Current First Aid/CPR and Food Handler’s certifications
Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
Make a difference at TNFC by fostering employment opportunities for urban Indigenous peoples.
