AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. Your role as a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE) will involve collaborating with software, hardware, network engineering, supply‑chain specialists, and operations to deliver the highest safety and security standards while expanding capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Key Responsibilities- Provide testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including review of design documents and equipment submittals.
- Lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and manage third‑party commissioning vendors for pre‑functional, functional and integrated systems testing.
- Own project success, deep dive technical issues, address schedule impacts, and coordinate onsite resolution.
- Provide input into scheduling, test script development, design, and project planning.
- Audit commissioning vendor activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
- Report commissioning progress and metrics regularly to the Regional Commissioning Manager, and lead multiple projects simultaneously while managing project budgets.
- Escalate at-risk project turn‑over to stakeholders, communicate lessons learned upon completion, and participate in program improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the year.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Compensation & BenefitsSalary range for this position: – USD annually (USA, MS, Canton).
Additional compensation may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
