Job Summary

As a Home Energy Consultant you will provide potential customers with expertise and education on a wide variety of energy products, helping homeowners to become smart energy consumers.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Generate business by selling natural gas, electricity, and utility line protection in an assigned territory.
  • Use a consultative selling approach to increase customer awareness of choices and competitive advantage.
  • Provide pricing information and effectively close sales.
  • Assure quality and accurate representation of products, representing the company professionally and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activity via CRM technology on an iPad.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with other sales representatives.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Authorization

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Sponsorship is not supported or available.

Physical Demands
  • Must work outdoors daily with exposure to an outside environment, including inclement weather.
  • Regularly required to drive, sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate an iPad.
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs (e.g., iPad, training binders, marketing materials).
Hours

Standard 8-hour shift, typically 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with slight adjustments. Saturdays may be required if sales goals are not met.

Compensation

Salary range: $50,000.00 - $. This reflects total earnings opportunity, inclusive of commissions and bonuses. The role is eligible for uncapped sales commission. First-year minimum commission: $20,000 to $30,000, depending on geography. Total earnings opportunity: $50,000 to $100,000 annually.
