Prudential Risk Manager

A regulated financial services firm is seeking a Prudential Risk Manager to strengthen its second line risk function, with a focus on capital, liquidity and regulatory prudential risk. This role is suited to an experienced risk professional with a strong understanding of UK prudential frameworks and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.

• Provide second line oversight of prudential risks, including capital adequacy, liquidity risk, ICAAP and ILAAP.
• Review and challenge prudential submissions, stress testing outputs and regulatory returns.
• Support the development and ongoing enhancement of prudential risk frameworks, policies and risk appetite metrics.
• Monitor regulatory developments from the PRA and assess impact on the firm’s prudential approach.
• Produce clear risk reporting and MI for senior management, risk committees and governance forums.
• Act as a key partner to Finance, Treasury and first line teams on prudential risk matters.
• Support regulatory engagement, supervisory reviews and internal assurance activity.

• Proven experience in a prudential risk, treasury risk or regulatory capital role within financial services.
• Strong working knowledge of UK prudential regulation, including ICAAP, ILAAP and stress testing.
• Experience operating within a second line of defence environment.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and provide practical challenge.
• Strong communication skills with the credibility to engage senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
