Description
As MISO’s Engineer I – Interconnection Integration, you will perform technical transmission studies and serve as a subject matter expert when coordinating with interconnection customers and transmission owners. In this role, you may also lead assigned generator interconnection projects and transmission service requests within specific regions of the MISO footprint.
In This Role, You Will- Perform long-term transmission planning studies including power flow, transfer analysis, and stability analysis
- Analyze transmission system reliability related to generator interconnection requests and long-term transmission service requests
- Manage and perform system impact studies within the MISO generator interconnection queue
- Review Transmission Owner project proposals and provide technical recommendations
- Present study findings and recommendations to stakeholder groups and industry partners
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
The base salary compensation range for this role is $71,000-$96,000 USD annually, inclusive of state/local pay transparency legislation requirements. Salaries may vary based on location, competencies, education/professional certifications, and experience.
Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. Benefits include 401k, vacation, sick and safe time, available on your first day of employment.
Qualifications Education (Required)- Bachelor's or better in Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology
- Bachelor's or better in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Bachelor's or better in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor's or better in Electrical & Computer Engineering
- Bachelor's or better in Computer Engineering
- Bachelor's or better in Electrical Engineering
- Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills
- Understanding of NERC and FERC regulatory requirements
- Prior energy industry experience
- Experience with power system study tools such as PSS®E, MUST, or TARA
