Inventory Analyst

Job Description

Summary

The Inventory Analyst will analyze and maintain inventory levels for Prinova Solutions as well as manage and streamline 3rd party processing for contract manufacturing. The Inventory Analyst will provide analysis on a variety of factors influencing on time and in full delivery of customers’ orders. They will provide timely and accurate reporting on inventory levels for Prinova Solutions and work to actively reduce inventory to targeted levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage full supply chain of third party processing including, but not limited to, entering orders, establishing ETAs, issuing POs, shipping to and from 3rd party, and closing out batches.

Forecast entry and contract maintenance by working with customer service and purchasing groups.

Perform Accounting Cost Quantity (ACQ) and primary routing analysis for proper inventory valuation by analyzing standard batch sizes and the associated equipment to calculate correct labor and overhead cost.

Production completion analysis to evaluate actual yield versus expected yield to increase percentage of customers’ orders delivered in full and partials leftover in inventory.

Run and distribute a variety of manufacturing and planning KPIs on a weekly basis to the management team for Prinova Solutions.

Accountable for Inventory KPIs

Investigate negative inventory issues and solve allocation issues as they occur.

Analyze and identify aging inventory, dead stock, and evaluation dispositions for those items.

Analyze and work closely with purchasing and quality to determine dispositions on expired inventory.

Monitor inventory levels and act to reduce raw material inventory on lost/reduced business.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Accounting, Business or equivalent is preferred

JD Edwards software experience a plus.

Proficient in Excel including V Look Up and Pivot tables

Ability to read, understand and modify specification documents as directed. The ability to format and create documents where necessary.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Thorough understanding of unit of measure conversions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to make educated judgments on correctness, accuracy, and appropriateness of information. Must be able to organize, prioritize and make decisions.

Organizational Skills

Must be able to create and maintain systems for keeping up on details on multiple projects; providing reminders of things coming up, administering tasks between parties (with direction), creating and maintaining files on various projects.

Attention to Detail

Must continually demonstrate a very strong attention to detail, careful execution of tasks, and regularly check own work before submitting as drafted or completed.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, the individual must have a very strong working knowledge of the JDE system, specifically the sales order, manufacturing management, and financial reporting aspects of the system. The individual should have very strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
