Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver II - 1st Shift in Carol Stream, IL.
Core hours: 5:00am – 3:30pm.
Hourly rate: $19-33 per hour.

The shipping and receiving Level II is trained, capable, and in regular practice of all essential daily duties and responsibilities of the shipping and receiving supervisor. The individual in this role must possess strong leadership, communication, and organization skills and may be responsible for training others and enforcing compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role works closely with Shipping and Receiving Supervisors to implement identified strategy and standardize work.
Responsibilities- Provide general administrative support as needed.
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey materials to proper departments or areas.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Perform computer functions necessary to track goods, including receiving, shipping, inventory, and cycle counts.
- Support the shipment of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
- Assist with receipt and put‑away of materials.
- Arrange trucks for pickup by the carrier specified on the customer’s shipping instructions.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain an adequate supply of shipping and receiving supplies at all times.
- Support inventory and cycle counts and investigate inventory differences for timely resolution.
- Maintain organized bin locations for safe and productive material handling.
- Execute additional projects or tasks assigned by supervisor as needed.
- Follow and enforce safety protocol, including use of PPE and maintaining a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities required of Shipping and Receiving 1 and train new employees, revise practices, and conduct periodic re‑certification of existing employees.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years warehouse experience.
- Ability to drive a stand‑up forklift.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work well in a team environment.
- Secure and maintain Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification.
- Work in a fast‑paced distribution environment while meeting established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Read, write, and speak English and understand verbal and written instructions.
This role may include additional projects or tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed.
