Animal Caretaker

Animal caretakers are responsible for attending to and caring for pigs in our pork production facilities. Training is provided on the job; related experience is not necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the quality of feed and water supply.
• Monitoring barn environments and ventilation systems.
• Treating and vaccinating sick animals as needed.
• Managing breeding sows (if placed in the sow farm).
• Processing piglets (if placed in the sow farm).
• Loading and unloading pigs as scheduled.
• Maintaining farm cleanliness.

Basic Competencies for Success in All Roles:
Instills trust, communicates effectively, is action-oriented, accepts accountability, and collaborates with others.

Requirements:

• No education or experience required.
• Basic math skills.
• Flexible and able to work assigned weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, but not mandatory.
• Must be able to work in the farm environment.
