Tanner Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, to help launch and grow a new menopause-focused care program based in Carrollton, GA.
The APP will provide comprehensive care to women experiencing perimenopause or menopause-related concerns, including patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Care will be delivered from medical office setting, in accordance with state licensure laws and under the supervision of OB/GYN physicians.
This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including OB/GYN practices, behavioral health providers, hospital departments, and community agencies, to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
Position Structure:
* Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or until the last patient is seen)
* Practice location:
Tanner Health Pavilion, conveniently located across from Tanner Medical Center - Carrollton;
Villa Rica location will be added if/when the patient population demonstrates the need
* Independent patient panel with continuity of care

Education
* Completed Master of Nursing with specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Experience
* Six months of related experience
Certification/License
* Currently hold or be able to obtain a Georgia Nurse Practitioner License
* Currently hold or be able to obtain a Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner
* Currently hold or be eager to obtain a Certification with The Menopause Society, which is required
Qualifications
* Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public events.
* BLS recommended.
* Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Georgia
* Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner (MSN) or Physician Assistant training.
* Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians
* Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
* Must meet credentialing criteria.
Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patients, hospital and/or other physicians.
Area of Responsibilities
* Customer Service:
Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Communicates effectively with patients and management regarding service recovery opportunities. Works together with other team members to achieve Office and System customer service goals.
* Development:
Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties. Participates in continuing education. Participates in the development of new programs (ex: Process Improvement, Quality Initiatives).
* Patient Care:
Performs evaluations, provide treatment and counsel patients. Order and interpret test results and recommend treatment of patients. Administer therapeutic procedures. Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval. Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or complicated medical procedures. Demonstrates specialty and population specific competencies. Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate based on specific specialty and population. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising physician.
* Quality:
Maintains evidence based medical care and clinical charting. Participates with clinical tracking and feedback. Integrates with clinical and administrative teams to administer high quality care.
* Teamwork:
Works well with others and functions as a team player. Offers ideas and solutions for issues that affect the team and work area. Participates in the training and skills development of new clinical staff. Assists as needed.
