TekPro is hiring on behalf of a leading manufacturer for a direct-hire role in Cary, IL. As a Precision Automated Equipment Assembler, you’ll build custom machines that power advanced manufacturing.

A day in the role Start your day on 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), reviewing engineering drawings and build prints.

Assemble mechanical sub-systems and full machines, align components, and perform final setup.

Troubleshoot and debug equipment to meet performance specs.

Collaborate with engineers to refine builds and implement improvements.

Use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment to complete precise assemblies.

What sets you up for success2+ years in machine building or automation assembly.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Fluency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints.

Hands-on experience with hand tools and basic shop equipment.

Technical training or an associate’s degree is a plus.
