CNC Operator, Mill (2nd shift)
Durex Industries, part of Spirax Group, provides industrial heaters and thermal control solutions.
The role involves preparing and setting up machines to fabricate highly precision-machined parts. Operators set up and operate close-tolerance and conventional equipment, then verify precision-machined parts and document actions.
Your Responsibilities:- Fabricate highly precision-machined parts by operating turning centers and milling centers per work orders, routers & blueprints.
- Set-up close-tolerance and conventional equipment by studying drawings, samples, blueprints, and manuals, installing computerized instructions.
- Document actions by signing off and completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Perform quality tests and operational checks.
- Verify parts by using precision measuring equipment.
- May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finder and blueprints
- Basic understanding of CNC controls and cutting tools
- Basic mechanical skills
- Ability to deburr and handle parts to customer requirements
- Work independently
- Install computerized instructions
- Safety/quality minded
- Good work ethics
- Organized and detail oriented
- Able to effectively communicate with employees, departments and management
- Self‑starter
- Takes responsibility for own actions including the impact of own decisions on others
Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00 (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)
