CNC Operator, Mill (2nd shift)

Durex Industries, part of Spirax Group, provides industrial heaters and thermal control solutions.

The role involves preparing and setting up machines to fabricate highly precision-machined parts. Operators set up and operate close-tolerance and conventional equipment, then verify precision-machined parts and document actions.

• Fabricate highly precision-machined parts by operating turning centers and milling centers per work orders, routers & blueprints.
• Set-up close-tolerance and conventional equipment by studying drawings, samples, blueprints, and manuals, installing computerized instructions.
• Document actions by signing off and completing forms, reports, logs and records.
• Perform quality tests and operational checks.
• Verify parts by using precision measuring equipment.
• May be assigned additional tasks as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finder and blueprints
• Basic understanding of CNC controls and cutting tools
• Basic mechanical skills
• Ability to deburr and handle parts to customer requirements
• Work independently
• Install computerized instructions
• Safety/quality minded
• Good work ethics
• Organized and detail oriented
• Able to effectively communicate with employees, departments and management
• Self‑starter
• Takes responsibility for own actions including the impact of own decisions on others

Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00 (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)
