Client Engagement Director – Ensono
The Client Engagement Director is accountable for the growth of Ensono client accounts. The role involves developing meaningful client relationships, driving profitable growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction through world‑class delivery. The incumbent will work cross‑functionally with Service Delivery, Pricing, and Solutions Engineering teams to grow existing accounts.
Key Areas of Focus for this Role- Serve as the client’s main point of contact at Ensono, responsible for the commercial relationship and maximizing the current service portfolio.
- Own the executive relationship map and expand key technical and business relationships.
- Understand client’s strategic goals and objectives and position Ensono solutions to enable them.
- Ensure value and growth of existing Midrange & Mainframe services globally.
- Drive adoption of Ensono digital services, Mainframe Modernization, Cloud Migrations, and Micro Services consulting.
- Build key partnership and alliance relationships that aid client transformation (e.g., Dell, AWS, MSFT, IBM).
- Manage messaging to the client around operational excellence through active partnership with Service Delivery Management.
- Identify and engage in client’s cloud and Mainframe transformation strategy and introduce cloud‑native development practice areas.
- Leverage Advisory & Consulting and Specialist teams to identify client needs and build service‑growth plans.
- Prepare and maintain the account plan, strategy, services growth plan, and Salesforce data stewardship.
- Coordinate regular Ensono relationships with the client: weekly internal status reviews, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and Executive sponsor program management.
- Bring the right technical and sales specialist roles to new service opportunities.
- Engage, be curious, and drive positive disruption across the client’s IT teams.
- Maintain a client relationship map, including key competitors and their sponsors.
- Partner with Service Delivery Team (SDM) to analyze, prioritize & communicate client health and CSAT, and elevate delivery issues that impede client/account growth.
- Accountable for driving Monthly Business Review (M ) and Quarterly Business Review (Q ) and influencing the SDM team and other Ensono resources to address operational and commercial challenges.
- Lead and own the entire client relationship lifecycle.
- Identify growth opportunities and lead the account development plan.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver on client objectives.
- Monitor and resolve delivery and commercial challenges.
- Report on account progress and set financial targets.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university or equivalent work experience.
- 10–15 years of sales experience with Global Financial Services organizations (15+ years preferred).
- Demonstrable experience in enterprise‑scale solution selling.
- Deep understanding of the managed services marketplace – key players, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Experience working in a matrixed sales environment.
- Experience in managed services and consultancy sales (preferred).
- Track record of successful service sales to Global Financial Services clients.
- Reasonable commuting distance into Manhattan for client meetings (or based in the NYC metro area).
- Independent and self‑directed with strong presentation & communication skills.
- Resourceful, confident under pressure, and able to challenge the status quo.
- Excellent management, business, empathy, self‑awareness, and interpersonal skills.
- Curious and driven to deeply understand clients’ business and objectives.
- Trusted advisor experience with Tier1 global financial institutions.
- Based in the New York City metro area and experienced in North America and Europe.
