Job Summary
The Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting elevators. The role ensures safe operation, compliance with UAE regulations.
Role & responsibilities1. Installation & Commissioning
- Install passenger and structure new elevators installation and lifting systems as per engineering drawings.
- Perform wiring, mechanical fixing, guide rail fixing with alignment, door frame with door fixing.
- Alignment, roping (2:1 and 2:2), MR and MRL Gear and Gearless Machine work, cabin and control loop traveling cable shaft harness wiring installation.
- Conduct test runs, safety checks, and commissioning procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on elevators and escalators.
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, and safety components.
- Lubricate, adjust, and replace parts when required.
- Ensure minimum breakdowns through scheduled servicing.
- Diagnose faults related to motors, controllers, doors, sensors, and control panels.
- Carry out emergency repair work and restore unit operations quickly.
- Attend breakdown calls and provide technical solutions.
- Follow UAE Civil Defense and municipality safety codes.
- Ensure all work is done according to company and industry safety standards.
- Prepare and update service reports.
- Communicate with clients regarding work status and recommendations.
- Submit maintenance forms, inspection checklists, and job completion reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team leaders.
