Castle Rock Water is a national leader in the water industry, recently expanding its infrastructure to accommodate reuse water, implementing progressive conservation measures and implementing legacy stormwater projects. Responsibilities:

  • Manages and supervises professional and technical staff. Supervisory duties include coaching, mentoring, assigning, reviewing, and planning the work of others; monitoring performance standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; and recommending employee hires, transfers, promotions, and salary increases as appropriate.
  • Assists the responsible project management team with design, repair, replacement, and installation of wastewater or stormwater infrastructure, including design, redesign, and upgrades of sanitary sewer lift stations. Assists with planning projects and related budgets. May work as a project manager on smaller maintenance or rehabilitation projects. Keeps the Operations Manager informed on project status.
  • Establishes standards and protocols for asset management, chemical and electrical optimization, and equipment evaluation programs.
  • Determines and monitors staff responsibilities, duties, and resource allocations. Recommends necessary resources to perform functions.
  • Creates, evaluates, and implements systems, policies, procedures, and practices related to Utility operations functions.
  • Provides oversight of staff responsible for operating and maintaining sanitary lift stations; cleaning and repairing manholes; maintaining sanitary and storm sewer lines; repairing and replacing lines; stormwater infrastructure maintenance; and emergency response. Ensures safety practices are followed and equipment is operated properly.
  • Ensures records are properly completed, submitted, and maintained to meet state and federal compliance requirements, local agency requirements, and Town policies. Conducts research and presents findings.
  • Coordinates and manages professional services contracts, purchase orders, and requisitions. Provides oversight of service for adherence to specifications and completeness.
  • Develops and justifies the Field Services wastewater and stormwater division budget. Monitors funds, recommends expenditures, and adjusts as necessary.
  • Evaluates equipment needs; performs functions related to bidding process and purchasing. Maintains equipment records and updates them on a continual basis.
