Truck Driver CDL A Part Time

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Cedar Falls, IA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay: $500 or more per week.

• Driver positions pay weekly.

• Solo miles pay: $0.56 per mile with 2,500 miles per week.

• Solo stops pay: $13.00 per stop with 7 stops per week.

• Paid training.

• Schedule varies.

• Start time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Route:
Local Home Daily – SOLO to IA, MN, IL, SD & WI.

Day Cab.

• Trailer type:
Dry Van, 53’.

• Freight:
No Touch – Retail Merchandise.

• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed.

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years; or 2 years within the last 5 years; or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Continuously train and maintain customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.
