Dry Grind Production Operator - Cedar Rapids, IA

$1,500 Sign-on Bonus!

Pay Range: $31.31 - $37.34
On-Shift Starting Pay: $31.31 ($28.76 + $2.55 Shift Differential)

Responsibilities
  • Operate plant equipment from a remote computer operating system and adjust equipment to achieve production targets and process specifications.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of process flows, setpoints, control loops, system alarms, and operator interventions.
  • Collect in‑process samples, conduct laboratory testing, enter results, and analyze data to make adjustments.
  • Follow and understand ESLP (Equipment Specific Lockout Procedure) to ensure safe Lock‑Out Tag‑Out (LOTO) of process equipment.
  • Handle equipment startup and shutdown required to meet facility targets.
  • Execute daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain cleanliness.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks, cleanings, and perform basic preventive maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and collaborate with team members and leadership to foster a safety culture.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written).
  • Strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing, and verbal communication).
  • Experience in an industrial or mechanical manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Move around a work site by ascending/descending stairs, extensive walking, climbing steps or ladders, prolonged standing and sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently.
  • Operate equipment or machinery at various heights in confined spaces.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds overhead.
  • Traverse two miles or more during a workday.
  • Work in a non‑air‑conditioned environment, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Potential contact with dust (peanut allergen), corn, cotton, canola seed, chemicals, and odors.
  • Work around vibrating equipment and noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels; hearing protection required.
  • Employees must wear all company‑provided PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, uniforms, steel‑toed boots) and job‑specific PPE (fall protection, respirators).
