About Us

Acorns & Twigs + Keep On Looping is all about keeping the tradition of potholder weaving alive in fun, fresh, and inspiring ways. Our subscription boxes, colorful loops, and patterns bring joy to thousands of makers. Now we’re looking for a creative potholder lover to help our community grow their skills and stay inspired!

Role Summary

This is a creative, community-facing role where you’ll design and test new potholder patterns, weave inspiring samples, and share your work with our community. We especially want someone comfortable with advanced weaving techniques (like twill and beyond!) to help our members level up. You’ll go live in our Facebook group twice a month, host creative workshops, help brainstorm new products and projects, and potentially run our You Tube channel to bring tutorials and inspiration to a wider audience.

What

You’ll Do
  • Design & test patterns: focus on advanced techniques like twill, creative layouts, and fresh designs
  • Document & share: weave samples, write clear instructions, and track loop counts
  • Inspire our members: encourage, cheer on, and highlight community creations
  • Go Live: host at least 2 Facebook Lives monthly (teaching, demos, Q&A)
  • Host workshops: plan and lead creative, hands-on sessions (virtual or in-person)
  • You Tube channel: create and run engaging video tutorials and project spotlights
  • Brainstorm & innovate: help us come up with new products, projects, and ways to delight makers
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Strong experience in potholder weaving, especially advanced/complex designs
  • Comfortable teaching and being on video (FB Lives, You Tube, or workshops)
  • Creative thinker who loves experimenting and pushing the craft further
  • Organized with good documentation skills (patterns, loop counts, instructions)
  • Friendly, encouraging, and excited to inspire a maker community
  • monthly payment
  • Free loops & supplies for testing and teaching
  • Creative freedom to experiment and pitch new ideas
  • Opportunities to host workshops, lead video content, and grow as a maker educator
  • Chance to be part of building a thriving, supportive crafting community
  • Photos of potholders you’ve made (bonus if advanced patterns).
  • Any teaching, workshop, or video experience.
  • A short note on why you’d love to inspire our community.
