At Currys we're united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK's best-known retailer of tech, we're proud of the service our customers receive - and it's all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

This role will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high value and business critical technology programmes, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, compliantly, and at pace through strong governance, technical and commercial leadership, and senior stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of one or more complex transformation programmes, accountable for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and providing the tools to measure realised benefits from the solutions.
  • Establish and run effective programme governance, proactively managing RAID, regulatory obligations, audit requirements, and executive decision points.
  • Provide senior oversight across architecture, sequencing, dependencies, and integration, ensuring solutions are technically feasible, operationally ready, and aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Translate strategic direction into clear, executable delivery roadmaps, providing constructive challenge on solution direction where it threatens value or operability.
  • Act as the primary senior delivery interface for Exec, SLT, Finance, Legal, Commercial, Technology, and external partners; preparing and presenting clear, evidence-based recommendations and decision-focused programme updates.
  • Lead delivery side engagement with strategic suppliers and partners, supporting RFPs, commercial negotiations, contractual dependencies, and performance management.
  • Own programme budgets, forecasts, burn, and change control; ensuring robust financial discipline.
  • Align delivery milestones and supplier contractual milestones to measurable outcomes. Own the tech delivery elements of business cases.
  • Set delivery standards, coach and develop delivery leaders, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure programmes align to strategic objectives, customer outcomes, and long-term platform sustainability.
  • Ensure business and tech operational readiness metrics (training, comms, monitoring, adoption, BAU handover) are in place and solutions delivered are fully embedded into BAU.
Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven delivery leadership of large scale, complex technology or business transformation programmes
  • Experience operating across multiple programmes or portfolios, not just single initiatives
  • Strong programme governance, RAID management, and executive level reporting
  • Experience operating in regulated and/or high-risk delivery environments
  • Multivendor and partner management across complex technical ecosystems
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence at Exec / SLT level
  • Ability to challenge constructively at senior levels, and lead and influence decisions in ambiguous or pressured environments
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget ownership and change control

Desirable

  • Experience in Telco or platform-based environments
  • Deep understanding of enterprise integration, APIs, and multi-system delivery
  • Experience with joint venture or strategic partner delivery models
  • Delivery of regulatory driven programmes (e.g. compliance, platform modernisation)
Qualifications
  • MSP, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent
  • Agile / SAFe / Scrum certification
  • Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
