Head of Executive Search - C-Suite Permanent Hiring
Location: Onsite - 5 Days a week Onsite - London (Liverpool Street Station area)
Pagos Consultants is a specialist recruitment agency with deep expertise across payments, technology, and high-growth markets. We partner with established and scaling businesses to deliver senior and executive-level talent.
We are now looking for a senior-level recruiter to head up and run our C-Suite permanent search function. This is a hot desk with active mandates and established client relationships. The opportunity is to take ownership, drive performance, and build the executive search capability into a market-leading division.
The OpportunityYou will lead and execute retained and contingent searches for C-level and senior leadership roles across our client base. The desk already has live mandates and warm relationships. Your responsibility is to convert opportunity into consistent, high-value billings while positioning Pagos Consultants as a trusted executive search partner.
This is a strategic role with autonomy and leadership responsibility from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Lead C-suite and senior leadership permanent searches across payments and technology markets
- Manage and develop existing executive-level client relationships
- Win and structure retained and exclusive search assignments
- Conduct detailed market mapping and competitor analysis
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, board members, and investors
- Own the full executive search lifecycle from briefing to placement
- Build and refine the executive search process and standards internally
- Contribute to long-term strategy and growth of the leadership practice
- Proven track record delivering C-level or senior executive permanent placements
- Strong experience in retained search or high-value contingent executive recruitment
- Credibility engaging board-level and investor-backed clients
- Commercial maturity with the ability to manage large fee negotiations
- Strong market intelligence and strategic thinking capability
- Ambition to build and lead an executive search function
- A genuine hot desk with live mandates and established relationships
- High-value commission structure aligned to executive search fees
- Clear pathway to build and lead a dedicated executive search team
