Job Purpose

Providing dependable and reliable security solutions across multiple roles within a latest Flagship development. The officer must be adaptable to changes in duties and environments whilst the site transitions from its construction phase toward a fully functioning multi‑tenanted site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high security awareness at all times; potential threats occur beyond the immediate perimeter of the premises.
  • Deliver a pleasant, welcoming and positive experience at all times – the kind you would like to receive as a visitor to a new premises.
  • Anticipate clients' needs/problems before they arise and either offer a solution or escalation to Duty Manager in a timely manner.
  • Reception duties and foyer management of all visitors and guests; provide a visual presence around the reception area away from the main desk.
  • Be visible, proactive and greet clients and visitors where possible.
  • Use relevant communications equipment to liaise with security / building management teams and wider tenants and visitors.
  • Issue visitor passes using agreed processes and procedures via provided systems.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
  • Prevent unauthorised persons from entering prohibited areas.
  • Use “Power of Hello” to challenge unknown persons, ensuring they are approached in a timely manner.
  • Manage lift boarding and directing of deliveries.
  • Keep an accurate record of any incidents that occur.
  • Be proficient in all site equipment including patrol devices, radios, body‑worn cameras, tablets, workstations, CCTV devices and access control; seek refresher training if unsure.
  • Ensure landlord contractor access is pre‑authorised and in accordance with risk assessment / permit‑to‑work conditions.
  • Complete incident reports to a high standard and submit within 2 hours of the occurrence.
  • Oversee and manage any emergency evacuations, including a safe and secure re‑occupation and verification of identification credentials.
  • Undertake patrols and inspections per management instructions, reporting leaks, damages or security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist Building Management in overseeing access arrangements for occupier fit‑outs, ensuring adherence to site rules.
  • Keep reception area clean and tidy; report spills or issues promptly.
  • Complete a detailed handover at the end of each shift so the relieving officer is fully briefed; do not leave the post without briefed relief or reduce staff levels without permission.
  • Keep conversations with service partners brief and work‑related.
  • Do not use personal devices or items in client‑facing areas.
  • Maintain a proactive, ‘can‑do’ approach; embrace dynamism.
  • Complete routine e‑learning and scheduled training promptly.
  • Be a professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self‑motivated team player.
  • Respect and tidy break areas; treat work areas carefully.
  • Reliable and willing to perform extra duties if required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; interact with people at all levels.
  • Operate with confidence.
  • Work independently using own initiative.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance client/visitor experience.

  • Report lateness or sickness promptly and discuss health concerns with Duty Manager immediately.
  • If you do not understand why a task is performed, seek the reason.
  • Maintain uniform to a clean and fresh standard; personal hygiene.
  • Seek training or reminder if duty, process or procedure is unclear.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining standards; do not accept or witness uncared standards.
Qualifications and Attributes
