Position:  People Operations Generalist

Position Purpose

This hands-on position provides comprehensive Human Resource Generalist support to Erickson employees and Leadership. Responsibilities are varied but will include employee relations, job evaluation, training, separations and HRIS data inputting. The HR Generalist will serve as a partner, employee advocate, and key resource to leadership. Acts as the primary contact in addressing employee issues and challenges, and performs these duties in a positive, collaborative and professional manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with management on performance issues, corrective actions, and other HR related needs.
  • Assists with HR investigations.
  • Responds to compliance issues and participates in implementation of employee relations programs/initiatives.
  • Partners with the Training team to develop curriculum on HR programs and compliance topics.
  • Delivers HR-related training to managers and employees on topics related to civil treatment, sexual harassment, performance improvement, compensation, benefits, interviewing skills, etc.
  • Participates in employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Manages HRIS and related systems and processes.
  • Assists with promotions and transfers and manages the EAF (employee action form) process.
  • Manages the separation process.
  • Assists with HR process management and creation.
  • Implements, improves, and maintains employee engagement and communications through in-person and social media platforms. Answers general employee questions and requests.
  • Communicates ideas for improvements, identifying employee trends, and providing the best possible support for our employees.
  • Assists other members of the Department of People with projects and other needs as they arise.
  • Frequently travels between all Southern Oregon locations and occasionally our other locations.
  • Operates Company and rental vehicles when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years professional level HR experience.
  • Hands-on experience in multiple HR functions.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment/labor laws including ADA and Wage and Hour.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and requirements related to EEOC, OFCCP, ERISA and SCA.
  • Experience with leading conflict resolution between individuals.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Ability to frequently and effectively communicate in-person, via phone and email.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
