Status: full time

Pay: $13.50/hr

* high school graduate
* minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: secretarial, customer service, or applicable training/internship directly in position.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
* detail oriented
* self starter
* team player
* strong use of the english language in verbal and written communication
(spelling - 90% grammar - 85%)
* excellent telephone skills
* ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
* customer service mindset
* general social service knowledge
* strong analytical and research skills
* proficient typing skills (60 words per minute)
* general knowledge of business protocols
* ability and willingness to keep information confidential

Software-related skills:
* microsoft word and excel required
* microsoft powerpoint, helpful
* wellsky, helpful
* working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.

Scope of position:
Work with corps officers and social services leadership in deciding assistance that can be provided with the funding available. Provide administrative support to the social services director/assistant social services director to make sure the needs of the department are being met.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
* answer incoming phone calls and determine the most appropriate resolution
* sort, process and record all incoming mail
* complete all departmental filing
* process all incoming checks
* maintain department logs
* create physical files as needed
* maintain and update contact information
* generate reports as needed
* maintain supply inventory and order replacement supplies as necessary
* provide administrative support to department head
* perform other administrative functions as requested
* check in clients for food bank
* enter daily statistics for hygiene center and lunch program
* processing accounts payable (ap) & accounts receivable (ar)

Physical requirements:
* ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
* ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead
* ability to operate telephone
* ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer
* ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes
* ability to access and produce information from a computer
* ability to understand written information

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
