Silgan Closures, a Fortune 500 global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, is hiring a Production Team Member / Manufacturing Associate at our Champaign, Illinois manufacturing facility. What You'll Do- Assemble boxes, insert bags and apply appropriate labels specific to product being packaged
- Assemble Gaylords, insert bags, and move products to appropriate location in the warehouse
- Open and dump product into hopper and return carton to production line
- Ensure cartons and bags are closed properly before moving to carton sealer
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures
- Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety and HACCP Pre‑requisite Programs related to activities performed for this position
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 3–6 months’ experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Pay Rate $17.29–$17.93 per hour, plus an additional $1.00 per hour for night shift
