L2 Network Asset Management Specialist
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
" Perform Asset Management, Material Inventory, Receiving and material transfers of network devices/components
" Equipment shipping and receiving as needed
" Receive Hardware shipments for data center equipment landings
" Locate and Validation of Purchase Orders, documenting accuracy of all hardware and components received
" Updating and maintaining accurate Asset records in Service Now asset database
" Unboxing and Recycling of materials / Proper e-waste handling and disposal
" Move Equipment from dock to storage rooms, staging areas and or to DC racks
" Installation or retrofitting of network/server racks - rail and shelving installation
" Scanning and Labeling of installed devices (network or server)
" Designate parts identified for spare part stock inventory
" Perform in warranty RMA's
" Perform Safety by walking Audits (Monthly & Quarterly) of campus IT Communication Rooms
" Provide Escort Service for vendors/techs as needed
" Work Request Tasks from Service Now ticket system

Secondary Responsibilities (as workload permits):
" Maintain network environments (Office, Lab, Datacenter, IT comm rooms, Factory) in support of Layer 1 physical touch (Smart Hands)
" Assist and provide Service Request support working with onsite team members and remote Network Support Teams to install hardware or patch cables to enable new services for customers
" Assist and provide Incident/Task support by working with onsite team members and or remote Level 2/3 teams to assist in resolving outages fixing issues including replacement of cabling or hardware components
" Assist and participate in Hardware Rack & Stack installation of Network equipment, cable management, and installation of required Fiber and Copper Patch cables, providing console access to Remote Team for configuration if required and testing connectivity Aafter installation and configuration
" Power and network cable installation and cable management
