currently seeking a Kafka Administrator for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on the operational support and administration of a large-scale Kafka infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the stability of production and non-production environments, including handling incident management, change requests, and system builds.

Responsibilities:

Perform operational activities which includes administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, change requests and builds
Provide Problem, Incident, Change and Request management support for the application using these platforms
Triage, service restoral, facilitation and coordination of root cause identification and permanent fix resolution
Responsible to handle the Kafka infrastructure and break fix the issues occurred in Production and Non-Production
Responsible to handle Changes in the Kafka Infrastructure
Build new Kafka servers and configure Kafka patching and fix packs
Work on Kafka monitoring tools
TLS upgrades and installation in prod and non-prod infrastructure

Requirements:

Ability to analyze the root cause and follow the ways to providing the permanent fix
Familiar in handling client calls and customer issues
Knowledge on complex clustered Environment
Good hands on Production environment to handle issues
Experience resolving critical issues on the fly
Ability to support application teams around messaging functionalities
Excellent communication skills both written & spoken
