Senior Contract Auditor TS/SCI with Poly REQUIRED

Job DescriptionContract Auditor to support a USG agency in the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA). Work with the agency’s Financial Audit Services team delivering both pre‑award and post‑award financial audit services, gathering and analyzing cost data, preparing audit documentation and reports, and advising on allowable costs, cost allocation and reasonableness per GAGAS.
Responsibilities- Conduct a full range of routine to highly complex audits in accordance with GAGAS.
- Prepare risk assessment and transaction testing plan drafts for government audit manager approval and perform transaction testing on post‑award audits.
- Prepare exhibits, schedules and audit report drafts, ensuring work papers have purpose, scope, conclusion, source indexing and cross‑referencing.
- Review permanent files, prior reviews, contractor disclosures and historical cost audits.
- Create audit folders, brief contracts, document guidance and meetings with requestor, program office and contractor personnel.
- Summarize audit results and draft comprehensive audit reports for approval.
- Prepare final audits for government audit manager approval to expedite contract settlement and advise on closure judgments.
- Employ auditing techniques, including statistical sampling, regression analysis and review of historical cost to recommend on allowability, allocability and reasonableness per FAR, CAS, and contract terms.
- Extensive knowledge of GAGAS, GAAP, FAR, CAS, Federal Tax Regulations, U.S. G agency regulations, Defense Contract Audit Manual, and Financial Accounting Standards Board statements and promulgations.
- Proficiency with computer applications and specialized databases.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, analytical and research skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively as a team.

Top Secret clearance with polygraph. - Experience:
Minimum four (4) years of professional contract auditing experience with governmental agencies. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree in accounting or a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of applicable work experience.
