Associate Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Ana Vation LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst (PCA) at the Associate level who desires a long‑term opportunity in a dynamic environment. The role involves supporting Program Controls with exposure to the Project Management Leadership team in providing financial support and analysis to achieve project excellence. This includes program planning support such as scheduling, budgeting, performance monitoring, variance analysis, status reporting, data validation and resource planning using Ana Vation’s business system, Unanet.

The position will follow accounting, contractual and regulatory requirements, assist in developing Program Control procedures, provide monthly CDRL reporting and respond to ad‑hoc requests. It will collaborate with the Contracts team to track contract ceilings and funding, forecast labor and subcontractor costs, and support contract closeout. Additional collaboration with the Business Development Team will track and manage investment budgets for each account.

The position reports to the Program Control Analyst and is part of the Accounting/Finance team. This is a hybrid role in Chantilly, VA, with a non‑exempt hourly schedule (hours per week to be determined).

• Provide financial support and analysis for Program Controls with the Project Management Leadership team.
• Assist with program planning, scheduling, budgeting, performance monitoring, variance analysis, and status reporting.
• Validate data and plan resources using Unanet.
• Follow accounting, contractual, and regulatory requirements and assist in developing Program Control procedures.
• Prepare monthly CDRL reporting and respond to ad‑hoc requests.
• Collaborate with the Contracts team to track contract ceilings, funding, labor, subcontractor, and ODC costs, and support contract closeout.
• Work with the Business Development Team to track and manage investment budgets for each account.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business management (or within six months of completing the degree).
• 0–2 years of project‑based accounting and/or project controls experience.
• Experience or interest in government contracting with cost‑type, time‑and‑materials, or fixed‑price contracts.
• Knowledge of FAR and experience with DCAA/DCMA compliance is helpful.
• Experience with business‑system software, preferably Unanet.
• Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self‑starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Candidate may possess or be able to obtain a Top‑Secret clearance.
