Overview
The United States Space Force (USSF) in Chantilly, VA is searching for an Acquisition Program Financial Management Specialist to support SBST at JB Anacostia-Bolling (NH-0501-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent).

You will serve as the functional expert for all aspects of financial management, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of accounting systems and processes. Your daily mission will involve providing authoritative financial analysis, supporting audit readiness, managing program budgets from planning to closeout, and developing innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.

Responsibilities- Provide authoritative financial analysis and support audit readiness for programs within the SBST scope.
- Manage program budgets from planning to closeout, ensuring integrity and compliance of financial systems and processes.
- Develop innovative financial solutions to complex challenges and advise leadership on financial implications.
- Collaborate across teams and with senior leadership to deliver accurate financial information and recommendations.
- Knowledge of processes and procedures related to program management and strategic planning activities needed to execute projects and/or studies within established financial and time constraints.
- Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human, financial and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals.
- Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations.
- Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, negotiate mutually acceptable solutions and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, determine resource requirements; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
- Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive information and/or files.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework.”
- Position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft for temporary duty assignments.
- PCS/relocation funding is authorized.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days per year.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
- Must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- Financial Management Level (1, 2, or
3) Certified position per NDAA 2012, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. - Within 30 days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
