Job Overview
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an IT Engineer with Microsoft Enterprise Systems Administrator experience to join our team in support of a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. Primary responsibilities include providing Tier 2 support of maintaining multiple large Enterprise environment that spans CONUS and OCONUS boundaries. The supporting infrastructure includes multiple Microsoft based networks spanning multiple security enclaves within a hybrid (Windows & RHEL) environments.
Responsibilities- Provide Tier 2 support for multiple large Enterprise environments spanning CONUS and OCONUS boundaries.
- Administer Windows and Linux workstations on EVDI and physical systems.
- Troubleshoot application functionality, crashes, and performance issues.
- Investigate user performance and collaborate with external teams to improve user experience.
- Assist customers with Tier 2 incident resolution for Linux and Windows applications.
- Provide remote end-user desktop support.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
- Respond to escalated service desk/team requests.
- Communicate effectively (oral and written) with a variety of stakeholders; work well within small and large team environments.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Provide initial triage, response, and notifications for incidents.
- 4–7 years of related experience and knowledge/understanding of Active Directory Administration, DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP, Windows 10, Server 2012, and Server 2016.
- Application troubleshooting experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, Java, Internet Explorer).
- Linux operating system knowledge.
- Understanding of Service Now, NETS, or other ticketing processes.
- ITIL v3 or higher.
- Additional skills that are a plus:
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Power Shell, virtualization environments (VMware, Citrix), VMware UEM, Microsoft Exchange, telephone/video support, networking. - Familiarity with site-specific customer and mission requirements.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
- Certification: IAT II (required day
1).
