General Facilities Maintenance Technician

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. This role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support Stores and Store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Vocational or technical certification and at least 1 year of experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., move up and down ladders frequently, work at heights, and stand or sit for long periods in various temperatures.
• Full work‑hour and daily availability as required.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
• License in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software.

• Hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00, subject to OWL, with additional premiums from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
