Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and accounting principles, coupled with expertise in systems like Oracle, Quick Books, or Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports to support operational decision-making.

- Oversee and guide the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Conduct detailed variance, financial, and margin analyses to identify trends and discrepancies.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to uphold data accuracy.

- Monitor inventory reports, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation.

- Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals during month-end close.

- Perform bank reconciliations to confirm alignment of financial records.

- Collaborate with teams to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency. Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts.

- Solid understanding of journal entries and month-end close procedures.

- Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, Quick Books, or Sage Intacct.

- Strong analytical skills for financial and variance analysis.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting tasks.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
