Position

Purpose:

Performs general repairs to District buildings and grounds. Responsible for keeping equipment in good operating condition by performing preventive maintenance, machine tests, troubleshooting, removing technical issues, and performing emergency repairs. Assists the Grounds/Maintenance division as needed and performs custodial duties, occasionally filling in for Head Custodian. May be assigned to work at different buildings depending on district needs.

• First class boilers license or equivalent
• Post‑secondary education in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC trades

• 5 years or more of complex building maintenance experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints to troubleshoot and diagnose building systems
• Ability to manipulate BAS systems

This is a full‑time (40 hrs/week) 12‑month position. Pay includes additional amounts for each level of boilers license and other applicable licenses when obtained. Eligible for benefits negotiated with Union Local 70 and District 112, plus enrollment in Minnesota’s largest retirement plan. Position is eligible for overtime and comp time.
