This role focuses on advanced wound, ostomy, and continence care within the Para Med nursing team. As a Nurse Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence, you will engage in both direct patient care and consultations, guided by best practices. Gain access to comprehensive training and be involved in enriching patient interactions while managing both part-time and full-time schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver evidence-based wound and ostomy care
• Educate patients and families on management techniques
• Consult with nursing teams on care recommendations
• Participate in clinical leadership opportunities
• Ensure adherence to best practice guidelines
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse with NSWOC specialization required
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience in community settings
• Current registration preferred with Wound Ostomy & Continence Canada
• International Interprofessional Wound Care Course may be accepted
• Certification from Canadian Nurses Association WOCC(C) is beneficial
