Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team at Medway Council on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated adult social care team, managing a varied safeguarding caseload and making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults across Medway.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload within the Adult Safeguarding Team.
Complete high-quality, person-centred, strength-based assessments and interventions.
Undertake face-to-face visits and promote positive outcomes for adults with care and support needs.
Work in accordance with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, Human Rights and Equality legislation.
Apply the Making Safeguarding Personal approach in all safeguarding interventions.
Conduct robust multi-agency risk assessments and develop effective safeguarding plans.
Work collaboratively with adults, families, carers and partner agencies to promote independence, wellbeing and safety.
Prepare clear and concise reports for strategy meetings, safeguarding enquiries and court proceedings.
Maintain accurate records and effectively manage competing demands within a busy safeguarding environment.

Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Experience working within Adult Safeguarding services.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.
Ability to undertake strength-based assessments and safeguarding enquiries.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Enhanced DBS preferred.
