Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Chelmsford, MA. Our team is responsible for designing, fabricating, and qualifying microwave hybrid assemblies, including substrate preparation, die‑attach, wire‑bonding, and hermeticity testing.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for defining processes, troubleshooting hardware, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Gain an understanding of all assembly techniques and materials used to produce microwave hybrids including substrate and die epoxy attach as well as wire bonding.
- Strengthen experience with J-STD-001 solder assembly, conductive epoxy attach of substrates and semiconductor die, gold wedge and ball-bonding, and seal / hermeticity testing.
- Design the sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tooling and other functions that affect product performance.
- Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
- Investigate hardware failures and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

LocationThis position is in Chelmsford, MA.
RelocationRelocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.
Security ClearanceMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position requires a Secret clearance obtained within one year of start date.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college.
- Prior experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work overtime if needed to support special projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Microwave Hybrid manufacturing experience.
- Design of Experiment experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification.
- J-STD-001 certification.
- Automated epoxy dispense & component placement.
- Automated Wire Bonding Equipment.
- Defense industry experience.
- Outstanding work ethic, excellent teaming skills, and ability to multi‑task with multiple projects and job tasks.
- Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, proactive, and able to professionally support and quickly adapt to changes in program or customer requirements.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with management, customers and peers.
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
CompensationAnnual base salary range: $67,000 - $117,990 (California, Massachusetts, New York, etc.). Salary will be based on final work location. The position is incentive plan eligible.
