Description

* Leads the preparation and submission of competitive bids and proposals for assigned area.

* Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., estimating, procurement, legal) to gather necessary information and ensure bid completeness.

* Reviews final bid documents before submission.

* Monitors area specific market trends and competitor activities to inform bid strategies.

* Oversees the creation of detailed and persuasive proposals that meet client requirements and highlight the company's strengths.

* Ensures area proposals are accurate, compliant with client specifications, and submitted within deadlines.

* Coordinates with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary input and ensure alignment with project goals.

* Establishes and maintains effective communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

* Observes the cost estimation process to ensure accurate and competitive pricing in bids.

* Collaborates with the finance and procurement teams to develop budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.

* Reviews final cost estimates and budgets included in bids.

* Monitors and reports on bid success rates, proposal quality, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

* Conducts post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

* Mentors, coaches and provides feedback to others.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree

Certifications

Employment Conditions

Construction experience required

Knowledge of the construction process of complex infrastructure projects

Supervisory/Management experience

20 years of experience in estimating in heavy civil construction industry
