The Service Writer serves as a key point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for accurately documenting service needs, coordinating workflow, and ensuring a smooth, positive customer experience from check-in to completion.

• Greet customers and professionally assess service needs
• Write clear, accurate service orders and work tickets
• Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs to customers
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule work
• Track job progress and follow up to ensure timely completion
• Maintain accurate records, invoices, and service documentation
• Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
• Upsell additional services when appropriate while maintaining trust
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing questions or concerns promptly

• Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or in a related customer service role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with service or repair software
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Mechanical knowledge or experience in an automotive or service-related environment is a plus
