Associate Lighting Designer

In this role, you will be a part of the Lighting Design team working on Transportation, Cultural, Hospitality, Gaming, Entertainment and Healthcare projects, based in any of our U.S. offices.

• Proficiency in basic skills of Lighting Designer.
• Provide creatively successful designs that meet artistic requirements.
• Provide direct client interface.
• Present Lighting Design to client and design team.
• Direct and mentor Lighting Designer staff.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Direct programming staff during commissioning to achieve creative intent.
• Offer creative problem solving to challenging issues.
• Knowledge of REVIT preferred.
• Knowledge of Adobe software:
  Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Knowledge of local and national building codes related to lighting and ensure compliance.
• Knowledge of architectural drawing standards and construction methods.
• Knowledge of lighting drawing standards required to produce construction documents.
• Knowledge of both theatrical and architectural lighting control systems and appropriate use.
• Knowledge of sustainable lighting design practices.
• Knowledge of LEED standards and requirements related to lighting design.
• Knowledge of day lighting means and methods.
• Project Management for Lighting Design projects ensuring financial success.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required by project.

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• BA, BFA, BAE or MFA with an emphasis in Lighting Design.
• Design IALD membership preferred.
• REVIT MEP and AutoCAD proficiency required.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000.
