Full‑time Faculty PositionsFull‑time faculty positions will be posted on a per‑opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Applicants will be evaluated at the college/school level for the position to which they are applying. Unless noted by a close date, positions will remain open until they are filled. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
Part‑time Faculty PositionsDePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part‑Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may submit interest by providing credentials for any posting they are qualified for. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding.
Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

Description:
The First Year Program (FYP) at DePaul University invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track faculty position starting July 1, 2026. The FYP, part of DePaul's Liberal Studies Program, is a complex, large, and foundational program.
The successful candidate will teach a load of four undergraduate courses per year in the First‑Year and Liberal Studies (LSP) Programs. In addition to teaching, the First‑Year Program Coordinator is responsible for the following duties that include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight of regular, daily operations of the First‑Year Program office, including quarterly collection of FYP syllabi and hiring, training and management of student office assistants
- Triage and management of queries, messages, and concerns from students, families, faculty, and staff throughout the year, and particularly in the months and weeks leading to Immersion Week
- Organization and execution of First‑Year Program events, including Focal Point Best Practices (Autumn Quarter);
Chicago Quarter Best Practices (Spring quarter);
Chicago Quarter Pre‑Immersion Week and Great Starts (late Summer/early Fall);
Immersion Week BBQ; and FYP faculty chats - Together with the Liberal Studies Program Office, management of Chicago Quarter's Common Hour, including responding to queries from CQ instructors (and potentially also Student Mentors and Staff Professionals)
- Together with FYP Director, review of First‑Year Program teaching evaluations
- Assistance with recruitment of faculty into FYP
- Possible assistance and coordination of the interviewing, hiring, and training of Chicago Quarter mentors and Staff Pros
- As needed, assistance with other program tasks and attendance at meetings and events, including occasionally outside normal business hours
Please note:
because this position involves responsibilities over the summer, a $5,000 stipend will be made available for summer work.
An MA or MS is required and a terminal degree (PhD, JD, or MFA) is preferred.
