Director of Accounting
We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Director of Accounting to lead and scale the accounting function during a period of rapid growth and acquisition activity. This highly visible leadership role will oversee the close process, technical accounting, audit management, treasury, ERP optimization, and internal controls while partnering closely with executive leadership to build scalable processes and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee technical accounting matters including acquisitions, lease accounting, and equity compensation
- Manage external audits, internal controls, and investor/lender reporting
- Drive ERP optimization, automation, and process improvements across acquired entities
- Oversee cash management, treasury operations, and weekly cash forecasting
- Mentor and develop the accounting team while fostering accountability and operational excellence
- Partner cross‑functionally with CFO, FP&A, and M&A teams on strategic initiatives and integrations
- CPA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Background in Big 4/Tier 2 public accounting required
- Experience with in a highly acquisitive RIA, PE‑backed, or professional services environment strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, business combinations, and complex accounting areas
- Workday knowledge
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
