Job

Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team and support our enterprise growth and transformation initiatives focused on accelerating delivery, modernizing operating models, and maximizing value from our digital, core system, and emerging AI investments. This role bridges strategy and execution by working across business, technology, and delivery teams to support Guidewire‑enabled initiatives while helping document and operationalize the Target Operating Model (TOM) that underpins our growth strategy.

The ideal candidate brings strong insurance domain knowledge, structured analytical skills, an operating‑model mindset, and working knowledge of AI‑enabled capabilities, with the ability to translate strategic intent into executable processes, roles, and ways of working.

Responsibilities
  • Support execution of the HDI’s growth strategy by translating strategic priorities and the defined Target Operating Model (TOM) into actionable business and delivery requirements
  • Help embed the TOM into day‑to‑day processes, roles, governance, and delivery practices across initiatives
  • Identify gaps between current‑state ways of working and the TOM, and support alignment to the future‑state model
  • Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with the operating model and platform capabilities
  • Support Guidewire‑enabled initiatives, including backlog refinement, test planning, UAT, and business readiness
  • Partner with business and technology teams to drive consistent adoption of new ways of working
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI‑enabled capabilities to improve efficiency, decision‑making, and scalability within established processes
Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting business transformation, insurance technology, or operating model execution initiatives
    • Working knowledge of AI‑enabled capabilities (e.g., decision support, automation, analytics) and how they can be applied within business processes
    • Experience working in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in business analysis techniques, such as use case modeling, user stories, business process mapping, and gap analysis
    • Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional requirements and support technical solution design
    • Proficiency in creating functional specifications, process documentation, and business readiness artifacts
    • Strong project coordination and delivery support skills, including managing dependencies, tracking milestones, and supporting issues and risk management across work streams
  • Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of commercial insurance processes and workflows, including underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims management
  • Tools:
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), JIRA, Confluence, and other business analysis or project management tools.
  • Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across levels and convey complex concepts to non‑technical audiences
  • Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to structure ambiguity into clear, actionable outputs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Target Operating Model (TOM) execution, operational readiness, or change enablement
  • Experience supporting Guidewire Policy Center implementations or enhancements
