  • Focus on underwriting personal lines Property & Casualty products for high net-worth individuals in the US
  • Responsible for underwriting a book consisting of large accounts and complex risks for partner brokers.
  • Rapidly evaluates, prioritizes, and selects submissions to ensure completeness and rate adequacy, evaluate risks and controls, and ensure compatibility with risk appetite.
  • Identify risk exposures, special or common hazards, claims experience and appropriate controls. Analyze claims and quantifying losses.
  • Adhere to guidelines and underwriting discipline to minimize exposure and appropriately price risks. Use sophisticated underwriting and producer management tools to meet profitability goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Meet new business and renewal retention goals through strong negotiation and communication
  • skills which may involve virtual and onsite meetings with brokers, clients, or centers of influence.
  • Identify and target new business and cross sell opportunities by building relationships with
  • producers and account managers.
  • Make independent sales calls to build strong relationships and grow the book of business.
  • Communicate risk appetite and value proposition.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance underwriting experience or relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to work in dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Takes initiative on projects and assignments, seeks alternate solutions when necessary.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • Property & Casualty Licensure required or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Positive, energetic, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
