Job Summary
Key member of the NAM Supply Chain team, the Junior Buyer is responsible for maximizing business efficiency through the effective management of stock ordering, inventory levels, and plan‑to‑pay processes. The role focuses on inbound operations across NAM warehouses, ensuring inventory is received on time and working closely with the Inventory Coordinator to ensure inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities- Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders in line with planning requirements, ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, track deliveries, and provide regular updates on ETAs and stock availability to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers, logistics partners, and Global Shared Services to ensure timely receipt of goods into warehouses.
- Maintain accurate system data (order status, delivery dates, inventory updates) and support inventory integrity through routine checks and issue identification.
- Identify and escape supplier or delivery issues to Supply Planner, Sourcing, or Quality teams for resolution.
- Support Supply Planning, Logistics, and Deployment teams in day‑to‑day operations, including facilitating returns from the field and contributing to process improvements and S&OP activities.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar or supply chain role, with exposure to planning or inventory management preferred.
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
- General Microsoft Suite capabilities.
- Ability to manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills.
- Strong focus on execution.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Full salary range: $66,000/year (minimum), $70,500/year (midpoint), $75,000/year (maximum). Pay is based on relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market data. Well‑qualified candidates can generally expect offers around the midpoint.
