Palletizer Operator

Candidates that have the mechanical aptitude and experience of working directly with production equipment (e.g., conveyors, sprays, ovens, printers) and understand the importance of proper and timely maintenance of machinery and equipment.

• Operate the console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, inspect, transfer, and stack on pallets with various can sizes.
• Constantly check can lines for tipped or jammed cans, remove cans from the line, and examine cans for obvious defects.
• Remove jammed, broken, or out‑of‑square pallets from the pallet feed and discharge mechanism.
• Remove defective cans and inform the supervisor of defects.
• Turn the selector switch on the palletizer to control the stacking arrangement of cans on the pallet and to transfer a loaded pallet to a storage or delivery platform.
• Maintain records of production and equipment performance.
• Operate safely in a moderate to high noise environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Must be able to work overnight shifts and weekends.
• Experience working directly with production equipment and understanding of machine maintenance.

Four days on and four days off continuously throughout the year. Twelve‑hour shifts with overtime paid after 8 hours worked.

The starting pay rate for this role is $23.99 per hour
. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The company also offers a Success Share Bonus that is dependent on the plant meeting certain metrics and targets. (The pay rate is a good‑faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final rate will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.)
