• Perform regular preventative and unscheduled/emergency maintenance on a variety of equipment associated with the production area.
• Keep equipment parts inventory list and order replacement parts as necessary.
• Detect and notify the Production Supervisor or Production Manager of questionable conditions and/or equipment that is not working properly.
• Work with outside vendors as necessary.
• Perform maintenance of building and grounds as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform all duties in compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and state and local regulations and company policies, including safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

• High School diploma or GED.
• A two-year degree or completion of a program in mechanical or industrial maintenance (a plus).
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with strong skills in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess knowledge of machine repair, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and janitorial skills.
• Required to be familiar with and use the hand tools and power tools necessary to perform those skills.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).
• Have the ability to comprehend verbal instructions and read and interpret machine specifications, instruction manuals, and product labels.
• Be reliable and dependable; available to work Monday through Friday and occasionally Saturday or Sunday as directed by management.
• Have a high level of job motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

The work environment includes variable hours on all shifts, weekends and holidays. Tasks are generally performed indoors in a temperature-controlled setting but can include exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), vapors/fumes/food odors, high humidity, noise, and household chemicals for short periods routinely and longer periods occasionally. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer may occur.

Exposure to occasional noise. Work is performed with minimal direction and periodic supervision.
