Location:
US - Chicago, IL - 130 East Randolph - Compensation: USD 60,000 - USD 81,000 - yearly
- Perform standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.
- Detect problems using standardized procedures due to sample conditions, equipment difficulties, etc.
- Conduct specific phases of projects under guidance of more experienced scientists.
- Propose appropriate analytical methods and techniques; assist in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
- Draw conclusions and make recommendations based on analysis.
- Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Be flexible with extended hours and locations; travel may exceed 50% of time.
- Be able to perform day‑to‑day regional travel.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering or related fields; plus two (2+) years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Subject to pre‑employment background check.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required; sponsorship not available.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in challenging conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
- Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks.
- Scientific research and report writing, including web‑based research.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong quality and time management.
- Self‑starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative.
- Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work.
- Seeking professional certifications.
- 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS applications.
