* Mount, connect, and calibrate security hardware, including cameras and card readers.
* Program security systems such as access control panels and video surveillance equipment.
* Conduct daily maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of security devices and associated cabling.
* Interpret blueprints, site plans, and job specifications to ensure proper installation.
* Maintain accurate documentation of work performed (service records, programming notes, and reports).
* Uphold safety regulations, union guidelines, and client standards at all times.
* Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades.
* Participate in ongoing union training to stay current with security technology.
* Work independently and manage assignments with minimal supervision.
* Strong skills in programming and configuring security devices, such as cameras, card readers, and access panels.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Commitment to safe work practices and compliance.
* Minimum two (2) years experience in security cabling installation or related low-voltage work.
* Familiar with IP-based security systems.
* Local 134 C or B card journeyman electrician in good standing with the union.
* BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer credentials preferred.
* Technical proficiency in low-voltage electrical work.
* Valid driver's license.
